Improve Drupal.org's support tools

Move from forum discussions to Q&A format, with ability to vote up/down comments. Ability to seamlessly move from a support request to issue and back would be hugely beneficial.

Make Drupal.org theme responsive

Drupal.org is a bit painful to browse on a mobile device. It'd be cool if it used responsive design to show off what Drupal can do!

Better showcase of Drupal websites on Drupal.org

Our current http://drupal.org/cases section is very sad. We should make it show off how awesome Drupal can be with pictures, how-tos, case studies, and more!

Make a curated docs section

In addition to the community-managed documentation, the documentation team also wants to have a more curated documentation area, where we can have better control over the quality of the docs, as well as of what merits inclusion.

Improve drupal Themes repository

Section : http://drupal.org/project/themes

Add/Update fields (essential) :

1. Demo (link or screenshots)*

2. Tags (for filter or search)*

+ Display section, more like a gallery.

I'm sure, this will attract new users to have a try on drupal CMS. And of course will also appeal to designers to contribute more themes to the community.

Better matrix of Drupal-compatible hosting providers

D7 no longer runs on crappy shared hosts. D8 bumped requirements even more. A curated list of Drupal-compatible hosting providers would allow users, site builders, and developers to find a suitable service provider. I'm not talking crappy free-text node bodies à la d.o marketplace. Instead, detailed structured fields for individual functionality/versions/compatibility per provider, which can be shown in a matrix view. ...more »
