Twitter is one good Example for this idea because you can follow users, websites, news, etc... Following a module??? or theme??? It's like creating a list of modules that you like or are using, that list (Click-able URLs) will grow as you follow. If there is a new version, security updates, some type of improvements, problems, etc... those notifications can appear on Dashboard by topic "Following Projects (All) / Themes". ...more »
Currently drupal.org doesn't have themes/designers competition and just to be clear to all: Example: www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Design-Challenge/2011-Gallery.aspx DotNetNuke CMS has the "Design Challenge Competition" Vote this idea so it would be added on e.g: drupal.org/competitions/Theme or Module But to be clear, this competition must have rules in it and those rules are going to take place if this idea got the ...more »
I see all new sandboxes on my rss feed, but I can't tell if which version of Drupal they apply to. I have to download them and look inside. In practice this means I ignore almost all of them.
There are a lot of good Drupal tutorial videos available on the web, and it would be nice to be able to include (some of) them in the documentation on drupal.org. Videos is a great way to complement written documentation, especially when it comes to learning how to use computer tools. It's a bit problematic that user interfaces may change and make videos outdated, but that's a problem with any documentation that is detailed. ...more »
I can't find a way if I can just delete an idea I have posted that I don't want anyone to vote on...
Deleting one's own comments/reply will be helpful if user posted an comment to an unrelated forum thread. At present i don't see this available. If you click on edit link of your comments or replies we can see only Save and Preview buttons.
We currently keep docs on d.o and in version control. Since docs are tied to code, I feel that the authoritative source should most naturally our git repositories. On Drupal.org, I have a profile? yes but can you add me as a friend or talk to me? There should be a way to communicate with people on Drupal.org as friends does normally with at least links to there profiles on twitter etc...but not in forums. There should also be a way to search people by gender, tags, etc... Point is, more we are active on Drupal.org, more we will be fixing it and reporting problems. And I do wish ...more »
This is like reporting a spam (Similar). Modules/Themes can be reported by users that are being duplicated or useless etc... This is one way to reduce the duplicates and Useless modules from Drupal.org search results/Database. And I recommend that the page should also show how many users have reported and Why?. Reported Modules/Themes can be checked by the community members and they will choose the actions that need to ...more »
