Twitter is one good Example for this idea because you can follow users, websites, news, etc... Following a module??? or theme??? It's like creating a list of modules that you like or are using, that list (Click-able URLs) will grow as you follow. If there is a new version, security updates, some type of improvements, problems, etc... those notifications can appear on Dashboard by topic "Following Projects (All) / Themes". ...more »

Modules|Themes can be tagged by the owner of the module. And will improve search results: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tag_cloud Example: Module "Views" Tags:(Display, Content, version Dev, Beta, etc...) and filtered by it's version v6, v7 etc. Theme: Tags(Colors, Columns, Dev, Beta, HTML5 etc...) http://drupal-association itself is using this feature but it is not found on drupal.org. On Drupal.org, I have a profile? yes but can you add me as a friend or talk to me? There should be a way to communicate with people on Drupal.org as friends does normally with at least links to there profiles on twitter etc...but not in forums. There should also be a way to search people by gender,tags, etc... Point is, more we are active on Drupal.org, more we will be fixing it and reporting problems. And I do wish ...more »
This is like reporting a spam (Similar). Modules/Themes can be reported by users that are being duplicated or useless etc... This is one way to reduce the duplicates and Useless modules from Drupal.org search results/Database. And I recommend that the page should also show how many users have reported and Why?. Instead of IRC that is old way to chatting with people should be replaced with Google Plus that is easy to use by country/Language.

There are hundreds of modules and themes and every one of them wants to introduce there module or theme or features or just help starters. Registered users should be allowed to post videos from YouTube or other sources and link them on Drupal.org/ ScreenCast??? And Voting the videos is most important part because there will be similar videos posted by different users. Highest voted videos will be shown on top of others ...more »
