Instead of IRC that is old way to chatting with people should be replaced with Google Plus that is easy to use by country/Language.
Since the flag module is already in use on Drupal.org for "Following" issues, it would be extremely useful to use it for flagging spammers and/or TOS violators. That way, if a certain user reaches a number of flags, we can automatically lock their account/block them quickly.
I was browsing archive.dconstruct.org to find old presentations I had seen when I attended. It's a brilliant resource for design inspiration and it's very easy to find talks on topics relevant to you. Every year we have hundreds of Drupalcon sessions that get lost and forgotten on each each individual website. Wouldn't it be brilliant if we had one place where Drupal users old and new could browse sessions from every ...more »
I would like to see (and maybe this isn't super important) that project shortnames follow a static convention. Although the suggestion is "project_name" where the underscore represents a space between words (in the full title), there are many modules which ignore it. There are even instances where module names don't quite match up to their purpose. This makes it easier to remember the shorturl for retrieving a module, ...more »

There are hundreds of modules and themes and every one of them wants to introduce there module or theme or features or just help starters. Registered users should be allowed to post videos from YouTube or other sources and link them on Drupal.org/ ScreenCast??? And Voting the videos is most important part because there will be similar videos posted by different users. Highest voted videos will be shown on top of others ...more »
When a forum topic has had a response, it rapidly gets lost, whether the response is satisfactory to the initial poster or not, especially in the ginormous "post installation" forums. This leads to the urge to "bump" things.
This would also allow those who try to help out know which issues are still waiting.
Most questions I have dont seem to fit into any of the current categories so they get lumped into the "post installation" or the "general discussions" forums. Right now the "post installation" forum has 513829 posts, likely more than all the others combined. It seems that splitting it into different topics would allow easier discovery by searchers, and probably allow the rest of us to find a niche to contribute, as (unofficial) ...more »
My Drupal Dashboard is the first thing i go to when i visit drupal.org. The ability of changing the dashboard theme would be nice. Adding custom bookmarks for easier access to other pages within drupal such as Community->Forum and other links outside of drupal.org would be extremely helpful. I also think it would be nice having a block that instantly shows you all of your posts right on the dashboard instead of having ...more »
Some sort of 'latest snapshot' or 'on-the-fly' reporting system that is showing what is currently trending on d.o
Essentially, the ability to see what is currently 'alive'. What the heck are people doing at this moment ? Is there a sprint happening that is affecting anything ? Is there a drupal iniative that is getting any love? What's the hottest node people are checking out? etc...
Currently the very important initiatives e.g. the D8 Design (http://groups.drupal.org/drupal-design) are very hard to handle getting an overview with all the posts revering to other posts etc. For a better understanding and workflow I would love to have e.g. "Open Atrium"-styled project-pages and tasks. This I guess would make it much more easier for people to get the current progress and help them get involved into ...more »
